Thor MX, an industry leader in motocross performance apparel is seeking an experienced racewear and protective equipment designer to join our team. This position will focus on both conceptualization and completion of design projects that meet the highest standard of the brand. The Designer will work directly with the Creative Director to ensure that the design language of the brand is implemented throughout the product line. The Designer is responsible for managing individual projects from concept to completion. The Designer will be responsible for concept sketches, line art, color comps, detail drawings, and tech packs. The Designer must possess strong communication and design skills in order to drive the design solutions from concept through completion while meeting individual and group goals.
- Work directly with developers, vendors, and managers to achieve on-time, on-target projects.
- Provide innovative, unique design solutions that result in brand growth and success.
- Complete and accurate development of tech packages that effectively communicate design requirements to vendors.
- Conceptualize and design both soft and hard goods for performance motorsports.
- Minimum 2-years of prior apparel experience and/or 4 year related design degree in product / industrial design.
- Exhibit high level of proficiency in all elements of product design including conceptualization, sketching, modeling, and file prep.
- Mac literate with expert knowledge of Illustrator / 3D skills preferred.
- Ability to multi task and work in fast paced environment.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
